Jeremy Flores

Home Town - Reunion Island, Madagascar

Jeremy Flores was born on the island nation of Madagascar and grew up on Reunion Island. He has surfed since he was three and has been trained by his father, Patrick, who played a fundamental role in his development as a professional surfer. His father and his talent made it possible for him to travel to the best surf spots in the world.  Jeremy’s globetrotting lifestyle has allowed him to experience many varying cultures, which gave him an advantage during his integration to the ASP World Tour in 2007.

When he is not traveling, Jeremy lives in Capbreton, France and trains on Southwestern France beach breaks.  He is a great representative of the radical transformation of European surfing.  Jeremy was honored as “ASP Rookie of the Year” at the conclusion of his first ASP Tour.  Last year (2010) he finished 9th in the world.

Coached by former professional surfer and Jiu-Jitsu expert, Yannick Beven, Jeremy invests diligent and hard work on physical preparation. He is inspired by martial arts fundamentals and his training program has been meticulously adapted to his character and physically demanding life.
