Miky Picon is one of the most titled European surfers. His physical power and sharp reflexes make him a great surfer. Add the hollow waves of Capbreton beach breaks and you have all the ingredients of a world-class competitor.
Miky began surfing in Morocco at six. He moved to France with his parents at twelve and demonstrated his potential at the junior level. His style is radical and he is a perfectionist with his tricks. At each step of his career, Miky has had incredible results: after several French and European championships and convincing results on the WQS, he qualified for the ASP World Championship Tour in 2006. It was a learning year for him in spite of his relegation to the World Qualifying Series. He was able to use his experience to make it back to the WCT in 2008. Miky finished third at the Hang Loose Santa Catarina Pro, after an unforgettable semi-final against long time friend, Jeremy Flores.
Out of the water Miky begins Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training with his coach, Yannick Beven, and Ricardo Arona, Jiu-Jitsu World Champion. With his strong mental disposition and experience, Miky will remain an exceptional surfer, on and off the pro tour.
